Location

(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

The primary goal of the summer program is to reverse the trend of summer learning loss that adversely impacts the long-term success of students. The position is responsible for the coordination of logistics and flow of serving breakfast and lunch to approximately 90 students in 1st through 8th grade. A Georgia Nutritional vendor will deliver meals.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Meeting meal delivery vendor each morning and verifying and signing daily meal delivery
2. Organize meals for delivery to classrooms/cafeteria
3. Check to make sure food waste is removed after each meal
4. Enter meals served data for breakfast and lunch each day
5. Check refrigerator temperatures
6. Accept delivery of snack sacks and organize them for Interns to distribute
7. Keep cafeteria area clean and sanitized

Required Qualifications

Required Experience
Experience interacting with school age children
Experience and ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Experience with Program or task logistical coordination
Experience and ability working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Required Education
High school diploma

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Some experience in managing a lunchroom or school cafeteria is preferred

ABILITIES
Ability to be cooperative and supportive with teachers/staff/parents
Strong passion for working with youth and strong desire to help make a difference in the lives of students
Ability to develop and nurture a safe, respectful, challenging and fun learning environment.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors and outside agencies
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Broad knowledge of food preparation and food safety for children

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
