The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks an Assistant Professor in African Art History in the School of Art & Design.
Required Qualifications: Doctor of Art History or closely related field.
Responsibilities: Develop and teach both general and specialized undergraduate courses for majors and non-majors, as well as research-area focused seminars for graduate students. Teaching responsibilities include a 2/2 teaching load across two semesters with one introductory course, one advanced undergraduate art history seminar, and a graduate seminar. Additional duties include mentoring students at all levels, supervising PhD and M.A. dissertation/thesis work, contribute through active outreach with other campus units, and participation in university committees.
Courses this position could teach: ARTH 491; ARTH 299; ARTH510; ARTH 220; ARTH 413. Full Time.
