Wilkes University invites applicants for the Faculty of Practice position in the Passan School of Nursing (PSON) graduate program. The PSON provides comprehensive programming which has expanded professional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

This position is for the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program. The candidate will report to the Chair of graduate nursing and the Coordinator of the PMHNP program. The successful candidate is primarily responsible for clinical teaching, advising, and service both university and community. This full time, non-tenured track position requires a doctoral degree preferably a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, unencumbered RN and CRNP licensure in PA, national board certification in PMH, and a minimum of 3 years experience in full time clinical practice as a PMHNP.

The ideal candidate must have a clinical practice site to accommodate students for evaluation in clinical residencies. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctorate program will be highly considered based upon education completed and experience in the role and population of a PMHNP. Previous teaching as a clinical adjunct in a distance education program preferred.
